Cooper Lighting Solutions, a Signify business, has been recognized as the first lighting manufacturer certified under NEMA’s Make It American™ program, marking an important milestone for our company and the lighting industry.

The certification recognizes our Americus, Georgia manufacturing facility under the NEMA Make It American Process Standard for Facilities. As the first lighting manufacturer to achieve this distinction, we continue to build on our long-standing commitment to U.S. manufacturing while providing contractors, government agencies, and procurement officials with greater confidence when identifying manufacturers that support the requirements of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act. 

The NEMA Make It American™ program provides independent, third-party verification of manufacturing facilities and products that support domestic content requirements. For customers, this means:

• Independent verification of domestic manufacturing processes. 

• Greater confidence when specifying lighting and controls solutions for federally funded projects.

• A trusted resource for navigating Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements. 

• Additional assurance when evaluating compliant lighting solutions for infrastructure and construction projects.
