With the HALO Home Standalone Motion Sensor, your smart home lighting follows you: no more fumbling to find light switches or wondering if you forgot to turn a light off before you left home. Install these sensors anywhere indoors. Then, use the HALO Home app to pair with your smart lighting devices and customize the settings. There’s also an integrated daylight sensor, so you can save energy by keeping the lights turned off when they’re not needed.
The HALO Home Standalone Motion Sensor is best used in smaller spaces where it is the only control in the space. Ideal for closets, small bathrooms, laundry rooms, or small hallways. The Sensor can replace existing controls, automating the control of the lighting. Currently, when using the Standalone Motion Sensor, the use of other HALO Home accessories in the same room is discouraged.
The HALO Home Standalone Motion Sensor comes with a Surface Mount Bracket and a Flush Mount (Low Voltage) Box. The Surface Mount Bracket allows you to mount the sensor directly to the surface of the wall/ceiling, either on a flat surface, or in a corner. The Flush Mount Box allows you to install the sensor into the wall, with a wall plate of your choice.
The HALO Home Standalone Motion Sensor uses a CR123 battery. Battery life will vary dependent on motion activity in the controlled space. Based on an average usage where motion triggers every 5 minutes, the battery life expectancy is approximately 1 year.
When the battery capacity drops below 10%, the sensor’s LED will blink every 4 seconds, alerting you that the battery needs to be replaced. (Battery levels can also be checked under "Info" inside the product's setting page.)
The motion detection range for best detection is within 6- to 8-ft of the sensor. Larger motions may be detected as far as 16-ft from the sensor. Sensitivity adjustments are available through the HALO Home App to maximize or reduce the detection range.
