Octavio Diaz, IESNA
SOURCE Market Specialist
Octavio has worked in the electrical and lighting industry for over 13 years. Beginning his career in sales with GE Supply, and joining Cooper Lighting in 1999 as a Marketing and Regional Sales Manager for Mexico. Before joining the SOURCE in 2007, Octavio worked closely with the Latin American Markets in the International Lighting Division and as a Marketing and Regional Sales Manager for Mexico.
Octavio has an MBA from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Business and is a graduate of Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering. Octavio is responsible for Exterior, Industrial and warehouse products and Exterior educational classes. He is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).
Rebecca Hadley-Catter, LC, ASID, IESNA
Manager, Source Cooper Lighting Center
Rebecca is the Manager of the SOURCE Cooper Lighting Center. In this position she develops course content, oversees capital projects for new construction and renovations and the day to day operations of the Source facility.
Prior to joining Cooper Lighting in January 2001, Rebecca taught design in academia, and was coordinator of an academic program responsible for curriculum and program outcomes. As an assistant professor she conducted research on lighting solutions for the elderly and taught lighting as a part of the design curriculum.
Rebecca is Lighting Certified (LC) by NCQLP (National Association on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals). As a professional member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America she is active on several committees and has taken an active role in the Teachers of Lighiting Workshop hosted by IESNA and Cooper Lighting in 2007 at the SOURCE. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Masters degree in Interior Design and Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Design.
Seth Hall
Marketing Communications Manager Distributor Solutions / Trade Shows
Seth Hall began his lighting career in 1999 working on Cooper Lighting’s Mobile Presentation Unit, presenting Cooper Lighting products and services across the country. In 2004 Seth expanded his Cooper Lighting roles to include Trade Show Manager. Today, he is active teaching in the Source, managing the Cooper Lighting trade show program and electrical distribution display program and managing marketing communications for some of Cooper Lighting’s key electrical distribution accounts. Seth is a graduate of Auburn University.
James K. McCarthy, CLC, IESNA
SOURCE Market Specialist
Jim has accrued over 37 years in the lighting field. Over 29 years of that time was with an electric supply company as Lighting Manager and Director of Purchasing for their residential lighting department. In his Source role Jim is responsible for the residential and fundamentals courses and downlighting and track products.
Jim is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA) and holds the CLC (Certified Lighting Consultant) from the American Lighting Association. Jim is active with the ALA on the CLC Certification Committee, Education Committee and was assistant editor for the Residential Lighting Handbook.
Jim is able to draw on design, research and education expertise to develop course content for educational and product solutions classes as well as incorporate Cooper Lighting products into application solutions throughout the facility
